Avery's Branch Farms and Creamery is situated on the rolling hills of Amelia, Virginia. Located in the beautiful countryside outside of Richmond, their farm offers wholesome, natural products to the surrounding areas. This is a small, family-operated farm offering all natural eggs, grass-fed poultry, pork, seasonal produce, and rich, creamy milk from their beautiful Jersey cows through their cowboarding program. The Alexander family looks forward to sharing their bountiful harvest with you and your family.

We handle our animals and process birds in a humane and kind manner.

What is your pest & disease management system?
We use natural pesticides such as coconut oil, tomato night shade, and diatomaceous earth. We do not use any chemical pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers.
Herd health and productivity management - Do you use any hormones, antibiotics, and/or steroids?
We do not use hormones or medicated feeds of any type. Antibiotics are reserved for life threatening conditions. Milk from a treated animal is discarded. For other health conditions, "green" products are utilized.

We are a primarily grass-fed farm although our cows do receive a small supplement of grain at each milking. We hope to move toward an all grass-fed model at our new farm location.
