Since 2003, I've been making natural food and treats for my pets,
using only the freshest raw meat and other wholesome, locally-grown
ingredients. My goal is help you keep your best friend healthy and
happy too.

Describe your farming, processing practices.
I buy chicken from Gold n Plump, a family farm collective working to control the health, quality and safety of their USDA chicken from grain to table. The remaining ingredients are bought locally from other vendors at the markets, or grown in my home garden, with the exception of pure fish oil and kelp.
Everything is handled as if I were planning to eat it myself, and each batch is "taste-tested" by my own pets.
What is your pest & disease management system?
I use no pesticides or chemical fertilizers in my house or yard. Raw chicken is handled in accordance with the USDA's guidelines on safety. All surfaces are washed with bleach and water; all equipment broken down and scrubbed by hand. Every effort is made to minimize exposure to air during the grinding and mixing process. No additives or preservatives are ever used.
Describe your soil & nutrient management.
I keep a compost heap for replenishing my garden soil.
Additional information and/or sustainable practices
I have donated Dried Chicken Fingers jerky treats to the Richmond Animal Care & Control, and hope to continue doing so. (They are a bit resistant to raw feeding)
Where is your operation located?
Woodland Heights
Do you use Virginia ingredients in your prepared foods?
Fresh leafy greens from Root Force Collective
Eggs from free range chickens at Faith Farms
Green Beans, squash, garlic and carrots from a variety of local vendors at the farmer's market in season.
Some squash is grown in my garden.
Roughly 90% of my products are chicken; I'm searching for suppliers in Virginia, but currently the majority of the chicken comes from Wisconsin.
