Annie Oaks Bison Farm has over 350 acres of rolling pastures and hardwood forests located about 70 miles from Richmond, Virginia in Lunenberg County. The farm has a bison herd of about 55 head, including two breeding bulls. The farm has been raising bison for nine years and the animals feed off grass and fresh water. We do not supplement their diets with grain or any other additional hormone supplements. Bison is a wonderful, tasty red meat alternative to beef and is low in fat and cholesterol and rich in protein and iron. All cuts of meat available from beef are also available from bison and all beef recipes can be prepared with bison as a substitute. All cuts of meat listed can be purchased and picked up at our office at 3310 N. Parham Rd (almost at the corner of Broad and Parham Rds). Simply place your order by telephone or email and pick it up within 24 hours. We accept all major credit cards and cash. We do not accept checks.
