Located in Capron, Virginia, we are in the heart of Virginia’s peanut country! For three generations we have been growing a real Virginia food – gourmet Virginia peanuts. On our farm we grow, cook, and package our own peanuts. Here we work the land to preserve a way of life that we treasure. We invite you to visit our website where you can view pictures depicting our farm’s peanut growing season. Besides peanuts, we grow cotton, corn, soybeans, and watermelons.
We believe in preserving structures as well as the land. Belmont Peanuts is named after our home whose original structure, Belmont, was built in 1790 and is listed with both the Virginia Landmark Register and the National Register for Historical Places.
We invite you to enjoy one of Virginia’s unique crops - the Virginia peanut, known for its large gourmet peanut size and quality. In addition, Belmont Peanuts of Southampton provides you with a personally grown, cooked, and packaged regional product - unlike those coming from warehouses and large manufacturing facilities. Our peanuts also carry the Virginia’s Finest, best of the beat, seal of distinction.
